ABOUT US

The Global Humane Conservation Fund of Africa was formed to conserve, rehabilitate and protect Africa’s wildlife and wilderness areas, including flora, fauna and the biosphere.

The Fund is a program of Global Humane, the international arm of American Humane. Established in 1877 as the United States’ premier national humane organization, American Humane is dedicated to ensuring the safety, welfare, and well-being of animals. For nearly 150 years, our pioneering, science-driven leadership initiatives have been at the forefront of fostering and nurturing the connections between animals and humans.

As our South Africa-based NPC, the Global Humane Conservation Fund of Africa is devoted to conserving, rewilding, and safeguarding Africa’s wildlife and wilderness regions. This underscores Global Humane’s commitment to species conservation, biodiversity preservation, and the expansion of natural habitats through rewilding initiatives, community collaborations, and forward-thinking projects.
